Compassionate at-home pet euthanasia in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
A peaceful goodbye, in the home you share.
Dr. Balsara is a Vancouver-based veterinarian who comes to your home for unhurried, gentle end-of-life care — so your pet's final moments are quiet, familiar, and surrounded by the people who love them most.
By appointment, 7 days a week
When the time comes, you don’t have to drive anywhere
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest things you may ever do. Dr. Balsara comes to your home so your dog or cat can rest in their favourite spot — on their own bed, in the sun, in your lap — without the stress of a clinic visit.
Visits are unhurried. There is time for questions, for goodbyes, and for the people who need to be there. See what a visit includes, or meet Dr. Balsara.
What an in-home visit looks like
- A short conversation about how your pet has been doing
- A gentle sedative so your pet drifts into a deep, comfortable sleep
- The final injection, given peacefully while you hold them
- Time afterwards, for as long as you need
- Coordination with aftercare and cremation providers, if you’d like
Not sure if it’s time? A separate quality-of-life consultation is available, and the FAQ covers the questions families ask most often.
